I'm not surprised. Instead of wisdom of the crowd it's more like wizdumb.
The university that my daughter attends recently bought several iPods. Why? Because the Uni wants to podcast professor's lectures and they think that they need iPods to do it. Furthermore, the individual with purchasing authority believe that podcasts are broadcast like radio, but require the iPod in order for it to work. When it was explained to her that her assumptions were incorrect by one of the faculty, she became argumentative and hostile telling the faculty member that he "didn't know what he was talking about." |
